1st Anniversary Celebration with Mi Amor

After three years, I'm back to this blog!

So, my recent escapade involves a two-days trip on Tagaytay with my J to celebrate our first anniversary as couple. Taal Volcano not really visible because of the fog.

Purchased a voucher online for an overnight stay at Hotel Dominique*. We head to the hotel to leave our backpacks first since we have to visit some places before checking in. The Front Office staff was very welcoming and pleasant to accommodate our request.

Check-in process was quick. FO staff requested for P500 for the key card which was refundable. One of their staff carried our things and assisted us to our room. Eventhough it's near the highway, the whole place was peaceful and relaxing.

Comfortable room and cozy ambiance. Has a veranda overlooking the other side of the hotel premise (cabanas, casitas, etc.) Some of the amenities inside the room were cable TV (not flat screen), aircon, mini-ref, SDB, coffee cups, water kettle, drinking glasses and condiments tray. Bathroom was ok but needs improvement.

We had Filipino Breakfast via Room Service and it's delicious. We requested for complimentary bottled water and it was given to us immediately.

No water coming out of the shower around 11:30 AM (while we were preparing for check-out) so I had to call the Housekeeping regarding it. Problem rectified after 10 minutes.

Overall, I can say this hotel is commendable when it comes to their staff and service.

Places we visit:

Ina ng Laging Saklolo Parish Church

Picnic Grove - P50 entrance ticket is not worth it. We just bought Tshirts instead.

Dining Experience*:

Lunch @ Josephine's Restaurant - Food ok. Service was bad. Staff weren't welcoming and attentive. Ambiance and view great.

Dinner @ The Grill by Antonio's - Food's good specially their Chicken Inasal. Service also good. Ambiance average.

BTW, thumbs up to Loumar's  Buko Tarts!

Tumblr Will Be Back Shortly

Shizz, it's been 2 days since Tumblristas like me had an access to Tumblr.  And waiting for it to come back seems to take like forevah! Gawd, I miss Tumblr so badly. Actually, what I really miss is the fun of reblogging and flooding the dashes of my 75 followers. I don't know, reblogging posts seems to give me some sense of satisfaction.

I hope my hubby David Karp and his servers could fix the issue the soonest time possible. Many of us are suffering from some sort of withdrawal syndrome already, 'cause as you can see, Tumblr is such a drug. So addicting. So intoxicating. Sad thing, people abuse it.

Please bring back the drug! We want to experience the high.

And puhlezz don't say you'll be back in a few minutes when you really intend to make Tumblr users wait for effin' 48 years!

Today Was A Fairytale

Today was a fairytale.

I'm just reciting a line from Taylor Swift's Today Was A Fairytale. Of course, this day couldn't be considered a fairytale for me not unless I have someone very special whom I can call Prince Charming and whom I can share soft kisses, warm hugs and mushy lines. Jeez, I miss those moments from yesterdays... Oh, well.

Ding!

Shut up, lassie. You're not supposed to reminisce now, are you?! Reality check. Reality check.

So, where are we now? Ah, yes. Going back to what I was saying, today wasn't such a great day. In fact, it was effin' boring and not-so-productive. Imagine waking up at 4 in the morning, very sleep-deprived, to get ready for school for the 7:30 AM class then you'll just end up waiting for nothing because the professor is missing-in-action.

One and a half hour wasted.

9 AM. Time for the Foreign Language 1 subject. Thank God, someone came to attend to us. I said someone because she really wasn't our professor for the said subject; just a substitute proctor for the reason FL1 prof is feeling sick.By that time, I was feeling uneasy and nauseous. Anyway, the proctor made some introduction about herself and the subject matter. We were thrilled upon knowing that Nihongo (Japanese language) would be our "field of specialization". My friends and I thought it would be Mandarin. OKAY. After that, she forced requested the class to cooperate with some sort of "Describe Yourself Activity Game" wherein each and everyone must introduce one's self. In front. Just like the kindergarten days, we thought. What the f*. Very old school. So there, every one said their piece and some turned out to be kenkoys in describing themselves. I can't understand a thing you're saying, so maybe it's much better if you STFU. I laughed with their sense of humor as a sign of my cooperation. Duh.

45 minutes of action; the remaining 45 minutes, wasted.

10:30 AM. Break time!

10:31 AM. People-watching while hanging out at the pavilion. Yep, that's our early lunch. I wanna go home now...

12:00 NN. History repeats itself. No professor for the 3rd subject. I couldn't think of new ways to endure the boredom aside from talking to my girls.

Another one and a half hour wasted.

1:30 PM. At last, this would be the final subject for the day. Why am I not surprised that there's no classes again? Perhaps, I can sense the future.

Yuhoo, time to go home!

I spent this entire day prolifically, as you can see.

Tomorrow, only 2 out of 3 subjects are required to be attended. 4:30 PM class FTW! Would history repeat itself for the nth time?

Wait, I'm gonna consult my senses first. Oh, there's a message for me?

"As early as of now, you're already losing some parts of the remaining sanity you have. Please get a good grip of it, dearie. And always be on guard."

Punyeta, sana Christmas vacation na.Tamad na tamad na 'ko ngayon pa lang.

Knock Knock

Finally, I'm done with editing the layout of my page. It took the whole day for me just to find the layout that would suit my taste. I've gone to different websites for Blogspot templates - rummaging here, delving there. I find some that caught my fascination  but what a pity - I end up with my own customization via the default templates you can find here.

So here I am. My very first no-nonsense blog post. Just bear with me. And my sarcasm. Just in case you want to know my individuality, refer to the About Me on the right sidebar, bottom part. There, you know me now. Self-introduction isn't my thing, one random fact about me.

BTW, I don't intend to brag my page to anyone; that's not my main purpose of setting up this blog.  If you happen to find yourself on this site (I'll be posting a link in some of my social network accounts) and felt sick/irritated/annoyed/offended afterwards from reading my posts, just close the window/tab and never mind what you've read.

Also, I'm not after the number of followers, truth be told. But if you find this space interesting enough and do want to hit the "Follow" button,  then feel free to do so. I'd appreciate it, anyway.

P.S. I rant and whine and nitpick and find fault most of the time here. Don't say I didn't warn you. On the other hand, I know how to give respective credits to where it's due, no problem with that.

'Nuff said.
